David Chuter is Executive Director, Industry Growth at the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. David has over thirty years of international design, engineering, and manufacturing experience. With an extensive career developed in the global automotive industry, he has more recently worked across multiple sectors including transport, MedTech, renewables, low emission technologies, mining resources, and defence. David has worked across the public and private sectors, both in Australia and internationally, and has deep small-to-medium enterprise (SME) experience. David leads the Australian Government’s new $392m Industry Growth Program established to support innovative SMEs undertaking commercialisation and growth projects within priority areas.
